ELCOME TO ASCENSION PARISH!

CARDINAL JOSEPH W. TOBIN, ARCHBISHOP OF NEWARK - PRIORITY COMMUNICATION

As an Archdiocese, we are committed to helping our people in whatever ways we can including by live-streaming Masses and other prayers and devotions. To the extent that we can, we want to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to grow in faith and receive the consolation of the Word of God and the Church’s prayer.

As Pope Francis has said, "To the pandemic of the virus we want to respond with the universality of prayer, compassion and tenderness. Let us stay united. Let us make those who are alone and tested feel our closeness."

ARCHDIOCESAN GUIDELINES FOR CEMETERIES DURING THE CORONAVIRUS CRISIS

The Church is called the People of God. It is more than just a building, but rather, a gathering of baptized men, women and children who have chosen Jesus Christ and a way of life that reflects the Good News of His teaching.

This website has been designed to make you aware of the ministries and organizations of many wonderful people in the Ascension Parish Family who believe Jesus is first in their lives. These good people make faith and love real in the life of the parish.

I invite and encourage you to read and reflect on the good works reflected in the pages that follow.  God is calling you to make a commitment to Jesus by becoming an active participant in the ministry and organization of your choice. Our parish family needs YOU!

Again, welcome to our parish. May God bless you.

Sincerely in Christ,
Rev. David W. Milliken
Pastor

Through your support of the Annual Appeal the Archdiocese of Newark is able to form the next generation of leaders, to welcome those on the margins, and finally to provide the resources so that our parishes can flourish. Your gift to the Annual Appeal is and always will be used for the reasons intended, to serve the mission of the church and nothing more.

There are many ways to make a gift to the Annual Appeal including our website https://www.rcan.org/ways-to-give. There you can also see the areas your gift will support and learn more about our programs and ministries. Be sure to select our parish from the drop-down box under "Parish Information."
